Who is this course for? It's for parents who want deep and comprehensive knowledge about birth, but more importantly for parents who want to work through their fears, apprehensions and rise to an empowered and joyous birthing experience.
What will I learn? The modules will provide you with step by step knowledge that will give you the exact tools and skills you need to navigate labour, delivery, post-partum and the transition to parenthood. At the end of this course you will have a personalized roadmap that you can use to navigate your own birth process as it unfolds.
Why did I create this course? I believe in your ability to birth. Therefore, I share detailed information pertaining to all types of births; after all, no matter what you plan, Mother Nature may have ideas of her own. I created this course because I want to help families by acknowledging their fears of birth so they can claim and rise above them.
When does it start? Registration dates are on-going as the course is self paced. Each week three modules will be released. You can finish the course in as little as 4 weeks.
Can I not just watch Youtube or read a book? Sure you can, but my method of teaching is different than other platforms, because I don't tell you what is going to happen, but instead I inform you about all of your options. I also challenge you with thought provoking content that helps broaden your knowledge about birth. This way you are able to make empowered decisions that feel right for you.
What people are saying about this course....
Rhea is an amazing teacher and offers a space to educate as well as empower! Her classes are always thought provoking and fun. Laurel Hicks, Denver, Colorado, USA.
Just reaching out to say that I really enjoyed your prenatal and introducing solids online modules and am anxiously awaiting the one on infant sleep. Nicki Yarkovsky, Lakeshore, Ontario, Canada
I have taken classes with Rhea and they are wonderful and full of information! I had two great births without an epidural and felt empowered to handle the whole thing! She informs expecting moms and dads about their choices in the hospital (or for home births if that’s your thing). I felt like some of the other classes were simply following hospital protocol about how they want birth to be and this was the opposite of that provided mental and mindful preparations, positions for birthing other than lying on your back (and why that’s the more challenging position) and features the hospital actually offers but doesn’t necessarily tell you they offer. Kyrstin Gould, Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Rhea is the best!! I write so much about my doula “Rhea” in my book The Love FitMama Way and know my experience would have been very different if it weren’t for you!! Thanks for all you do!! Highly recommend this for new Mamas. Jen Oliver, Windsor, Ontario Canada
I love it when my clients have taken Rhea's childbirth classes as I know they are prepared in the essentials of labour, delivery and beyond. Kathy Burbridge-Herbertson - Prana Doula Services
When my clients take Rhea's course they always come to their appointments with evidence based information. It makes my job as a midwife much easier because clients are able to make informed decisions on their own. Also, I have had a number of clients who expressed no interest in a homebirth (which is 100% fine), but after taking Rhea's class they go on to have a planned successful one. The way Rhea re-frames birth is exciting! I highly recommend Rhea as an educator to anyone expecting. Ginger Girard-Fram - Registered Midwife, Ontario
